When pond plants come up, people generally think of water lilies, cattails, and little else. But in all reality there are some very innovative ways you can add plants to your pond. These options can allow you to let your creativity run even further with your pond’s landscape.

There are some common types of pond plants that people like to put in their ponds. Floating plants are one, but there are submerged plants as well. Plants in your pond help to cleanse the water and keep your fish healthy.

Another way you can add plants to your pond is to get floating planters. These allow you to plant flowers and other plants on small islands that you anchor out in your pond. So as you can see, there are many types of “pond plants” you can have.
